Pace University Psychology Department (New York City Campus) is recruiting two positions

Clinical Director of the McShane Center for Psychological Services

  • Psychology Department, Pace University-New York City Campus

Clinical Director of McShane Center for Psychological Services, Department of Psychology (Clinical Associate Professor, non-tenure track): Pace University invites applications for the Clinical Director, start date negotiable.

A Ph.D or Psy. D. is required in clinical, counseling, school, or combined school-clinical concentrations as well as NYS licensure eligible. Administrative and clinical experience are required as well as evidence of advanced skills and training.

The Psychology Department offers three graduate programs: (an APA approved Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology, a M.S. Ed. in School Psychology, and M.A. in Psychology), two undergraduate programs (a B.A. in General Psychology and B.A. in Applied Psychology and Human Relations), and a combined B.A./M.A. Program. The Clinical Director will work directly with students in the Psy.D. and M.S. Ed. Programs.

The Clinical Director will work closely with the Executive Clinical Director in overseeing the smooth functioning of the McShane Center. Position responsibilities include opportunities for collaborating in program development, community service delivery, consultation with therapists-in-training, and provision of leadership for new training opportunities for professionals. Specific responsibilities include supervision of medical records compliance, budget, preparation of documentation for university offices and accreditation, staff supervision, emergency management, monitoring students and trainees’ responsibilities and competencies, developing seminars for trainees and participation in the development of training programs and community partnerships for mental health services delivery.

Assistant Professor of Psychology (Tenure Track)

Pace University invites applications for the anticipated tenure track position of Assistant Professor of the Psychology Department at its New York City campus to begin September 1, 2015.

The Psychology Department is housed within the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences and offers a Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology, a M.S.Ed. in School Psychology, a MA in Psychology, 2 undergraduate degrees, and a combined BA/MA degree.

The essential qualification for this position is strong expertise in research methodology and advanced statistics. The ideal candidate will have sufficient expertise in the areas of multivariate statistical analysis and structural modeling to teach these areas at a doctoral level, and provide supervision of these techniques in designing and implementing doctoral projects. Candidates will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in psychology, although the area of expertise is open. Preference will be given to candidates with a distinguished scholarly record, strong teaching skills, a history of external funding, and contributions to the profession.

OPEN POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Responsibilities
-Psychotherapy for adults, children, and adolescents in individual, couples, and family contexts
-Psycho-educational and psychological assessment and report writing
-Some supervision of students and other clinicians
-Attendance at department meetings, accurate record keeping
-Skill in interfacing with various hospital departments and specialties
-Crisis management
-Consultation with other hospital departments such as Family Medicine, Emergency Department, Internal Medicine, Inpatient Unit, Pediatrics, Ob/Gyn, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
-Doctoral degree in Psychology or related field (PhD, PsyD, EdD, DSW, etc) from accredited institution.
-Licensed in home state/country/territory
-Experience with psychotherapy in individual, marriage, and family contexts
-Experience with psycho-educational assessment and report writing
-Bilingual English/Mandarin preferred

Purdue University Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology Department of Educational Studies

The Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University is currently accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in its APA-accredited Counseling Psychology program, beginning fall 2015. We are seeking applicants who can contribute to our college mission of effecting positive change in a diverse society in the areas of discovery, teaching, and engagement. · Maintain an active research program with a record of, or potential to attract, external funding;
· Teach courses in counseling psychology and supervise practicum;

The successful candidate will: (a) teach undergraduate courses in developmental and other areas of psychology, including Child Development and Adolescent Psychology; (b) supervise Master’s thesis research in the Master of Science in Clinical Psychology Program; (c) conduct an active research program; (d) perform university and community service; (e) seek external funding for research and/or service activities; and (f) explore opportunities for developing and teaching online courses.

Salary ranges: Instructor $33,167-$56,195 per academic year; Assistant Prof. $38,316-$66,237 per academic year; Associate Prof. $42,422-$75,226 per academic year.
